ARRIVAL July 5th, Fort Lauderdale on own initiative.
(Accommodation in Fort Lauderdale Sea Lord Hotel, right on the beach, group meeting in the evening)
Day 1: (July 6th) Morning flight from Fort Lauderdale to Bimini, check in on the RV Garvin, which awaits us at the Bimini Sands marina. Boat tour / briefing, safety and snorkeling equipment check. After lunch snorkeling for beginners and advanced snorkelers at the unique Shell Beach. Dinner together with discussion of the snorkeling experience and tips for the next day. Urgent recommendation: experience the sunset in the Infinity Pool!
Day 2: (July 7th) After breakfast, we head to beautiful Honeymoon Harbor, where we deepen our snorkeling skills while swimming with the current with tropical fish and corals. We will swim with rays in the beautiful, shallow and sandy bay and visit a famous spot for sharks! We always anchor on the sea in good weather.
Day 3: (July 8th) After breakfast we head straight for the Dolphin Grounds! Before we swim with our friendly and curious dolphins, we will practice swimming and diving in deeper water. From now on it’s time to look for dolphin fins. Each participant is invited to help standing watch on the bridge for an hour. At night, we will anchor in front of East Wells, along the sandy coast of north Bimini, to be close to the dolphin grounds in the morning.
Day 4 (July9th) We will return to, the Dolphin Grounds, with more diligent practice so everyone feels safe and relaxed in the azure blue waters of the Bahama Banks! At night we will anchor again in front of East Wells and if we are not too tired, how about a sunset swim?
Day 5: (July 10th) Our priority today will be: dolphins, dolphins, dolphins! Various reefs will invite us to snorkel on the way, where we can practice free diving, each according to his or her abilities and with personal guidance. The meditative techniques that you will learn not only help to stay under water longer but are well suited for everyday life.
Day 6: (July 11th) Our last day on the open sea! And of course, it’s about dolphins again today! In the afternoon, we go to a favorite marina in northern Bimini, with the opportunity to explore Alice Town and the north island. In the evening, we will celebrate our farewell with a nice dinner at the marina!
Day 7: (July 12th) After breakfast we will take the water taxi to the airport on South Bimini and fly you back to Fort Lauderdale
